Background[]
On September 5, 2019, in a radio interview with Zane Lowe for Beats 1 Radio, Grimes first confirmed that she had worked on a song with Chris Lake and described it as "the sickest, most fucked up song ever".[1]
On May 30, 2021, the song was premiered by Chris Lake and Fisher as the opening song of their ‘Under Construction’ show.[2][3]
On July 25, the demo version of the song was played on Grimes' DJ set for the Splendour XR virtual festival event, in which the song was described by Grimes as "rare gem" that probably would not be released.[4]
