Futuristic Drugs is an unreleased song by Eartheater and Grimes that was expected to appear on Grimes' scrapped sixth album, Book 1, but will appear on Eartheater's next album.[1]
Background[]
The song's existence was revealed by Grimes in an Instagram Story on August 26, 2021.[2] While promoting her Travel Almanac interview with Eartheater in a now deleted Instagram post in April 2022, she confirmed that their collaboration would be "coming soon."[3]
Part of the song's lyrics were teased by Grimes in a response to a fan asking where the song was on October 7, 2024, from which the song's name was inferred.[4]
On January 14, 2025, the demo, along with other demos, was leaked.[5][6]
When asked where their [Grimes and Eartheater's] song was, Grimes replied:[7]
