Music 4 Machines (stylized in all capitals) is an unreleased song by Grimes, featuring GrimesAI.[1][2] It was likely to be for Book 1 or Book 3.[speculated]
Background[]
On April 30, 2023 Grimes tweeted part of the song's lyrics, and replied under her own tweet:[3] "@anyma_eva @ILLANGELO @joy_odyssey 3 weeks ...", however, the weeks passed without the song being released.
The said lyrics were put inside elf.tech's BOOK 1-2.txt file, and have been there since May.[4]
On March 23, 2024, Grimes played the song live as part of a performance during AXE Ceremonia festival in Mexico City,[5] briefly before that tweeting that she would be "testing new music".[6]
From April 9, the song was available to be played inside Fortnite's virtual Sahara Island, as part of a Coachella, Grimes, and Fortnite collaboration event.[7][8][dead link]
The song was again played live during Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13 and 20, 2024.[9][10]
On January 14, 2025, the demo version, which has a much different beat and original lyrics, along with other demos, was leaked.[11][12] Grimes said in response:[13]
