13th: I like how all these different pictures of text look together (below). I like how when u take a screenshot of text and post that rather than physically writing it out it seems more tangible. Seeing a quote or a paragraph as a distinct image makes it more real. James does this all the time on his blog and I’ve been admiring it but i couldn’t say why. and i think its because it gives an aesthetic value to the words that they wouldn’t otherwise have and therefore it makes them seem more valuable.
i feel like with a book you have a physical object that you admire for reasons outside of it simply conveying information to you. And you can collect multiple books and they indicate a lot about your values and interests and its sort of like baseball cards or top friends on myspace. Digital media has cheapened the experience of reading because words are more expendable and the way they are presented is far less thoughtful. Like, i write on here with no thought to the actual presentation of the words because there is a pre-existing format that they just always go into that i chose when i made this blog. and then things disappear into the endless content-pile as they go back in time (whereas a screenshot can be reblogged and is easier to share).

it reminds me of my gr. 9 french class cooking assignment, sigh. which makes me remember my deceased pug, ginger. i wish i had a pug, but ive also vowed to get a dog from a shelter when i get a dog, and i doubt they have pugs there but maybe they’ll have a half pug they always seem to have lots of chihuahuas for some reason

I wish I could be this private about my life but early on i was under the impression that i had to do press so i just did it and now im way down that rabbit hole. I think she only ever did one or a few interviews. I listened to the one, and she just seemed so intelligent and humble. She just expresses human emotion in the most utterly raw way. its so futuristic but at the same time this music could be understood by anyone i feel at almost any time.
